I purchased the exercising equipment floor protection mats because I decided to invest in my own personal gym at home. Unfortunatly, I did not have room in my house so my home gym is situated in the garage. I purchased a treadmill, weights, etc for my gym. The problem that I encountered with my personal home gym was that my parents who are in their 60s, keep tripping over the equipment because the color of the machine blends in with the dark gray flooring. With the black and white sides edges of the protection mat was exactly what I needed. Now my parents are safe and I have my own personal gym.

These mats fit together easily and make a nice large surface. The price is definitely better than anything I saw in my local stores. However, these mats don’t work so well as an exercise surface. I am doing P90X and was looking for a mat that would give me nice support and stable base, but this mat travels across my floor constantly, so I have to stop to move it back into place. In a 60 minute workout, I need to stop 5-10 times to re-adjust the mat. It also is a bit slippery for doing push ups. My feet are sliding quite a bit.

This mat would work well for a baby’s room or living area with a hard floor looking to protect a young one, but not so much as an exercise mat.

We put this foam down in our living room, where our daughter is learning to walk. After falling down and hitting her head on the hard wood floor a few times, we knew we needed something else since we had no carpet in our downstairs living area. This fits the bill perfectly. The pieces interlock perfectly; they are light and easy to install and easy to carry outside for cleaning. When we are done with them or will want to use them, the 48 square feet breaks down into a manageable size for easy storage or installation somewhere else. This is a good value over what you may purchase at Lowes or Home Depot because border pieces are included which make the edges much more aesthetically pleasing, and not leaving the jigsaw shapes visible.

I’ve owned the mats for a few months now. I do my exercises on them and they are great. I have wooden floors so these mats soften the impact when doing exercises and also it protects my rug and wooden floors from my constant trampling. Some people might think a rug would do just fine for exercises but rugs slide when you’re jumping and running on them. Also the mats are easily dismantled; I hide them under the sofa after I’m done with exercises. It’s much harder to find a rug that you can easily hide away. Lastly, this was the best $/square feet I could find online. So in summary, good value! at least for what I’m using it for.

they do well for what they are and many are ignoring the specs on the item. they’re only 3/8″ thick so that’s the reason why they’re cheaper than “comparable” mats.

for less than the selling price plus shipping you could visit a certain sporting good store and get 2 sets of 1/2″ thick core with a pattern to keep slipping to a minimum for less than this set.

people should really have done their homework before buying this.

and of course i’ll be using this set for my daughter’s tumbling and getting the other set for me. if my daughter couldn’t use them i’d be either giving them back or giving them away.

I have a retail shop and needed some padding on our concrete floor behind the wrap desk. These tiles seemed the perfect fit as they were the right size for the space I needed coverage.

Everything seemed to be going well the first few days … but then I’m noticing divets made by any kind of heeled shoe showing up on the mat…and staying there. Not only this, but the tiles are not staying locked together. They are separating for some unknown reason and it’s not looking like the clean, well put together mat I was hoping for.

We don’t get a lot of foot traffic in this area as we only have one employee a day behind the cash register, which is why I didn’t think I would need any heavy duty commerical grade mat.

Sadly, I fear that in 3 or 4 months the mat will look so ‘chewed up’ that I will have to discard and purchase from another manufacturer.
