I was waiting for walmart to come back to their rollback price on these Cap dumbbells,to $35.00 but the price kept going up and a week later they were at $44.00.On sat.Dec.12 I went on Amazon.com and there they were for $35.00 and free shipping. I ordered them that day and on sunday I receive an email that they were shipped and would arrive by the 15th,yeah right! compared to the more expensive options, especially when you factor the shipping cost – amazon is offering a great deal on this item, with FREE shipping?? its a no brainer.
Pros -
-The weights can be easily adjusted from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs
-Came with a case to store the weights away with ease
-doesn’t replace going to the gym but does the fix for keeping fit during the in between times of free time at home
-can purchase more weights and add even more weight
Cons –
-The weights do give off a odd odor, but trust me, it goes away. just scrub em down with windex spray.
-The case…ehhhh. came cracked. could have done a better job with that but hey, for something less than $[...] bucks when everything else of the weight is $80 or more. can’t complain.
in summary: get it!!!

This was just another generic brand but it was worth buying since its just a weight and its purpose was to act as one and it does that well. Although the box may say 40lbs set its more like 5×2+2.5×2 which gives a total of 15 lbs and maybe 2 more pounds from the bar and bolts, which give you about 17lbs on each.
Pros:
~Very cheap: Compared to the other places I’ve seen. Amazon had a great deal at $35 and offered free shipping, this was the best deal I could find. Ebay had the same set for $85 so I’m gona look on amazon first from now on.
~Good value: Its a weight, you don’t need something special to that. This gets the job done with very little money spent. The carrying case is plastic but heavy duty.
~Size: It fits rather comfortably in my hand and feels fine when lifting. The bar is a standard 1 inch diameter and can fit up to 8 weights on one bar (4 on one end and 4 on the other). You can always add bigger weights that can be found on amazon or any flea market or add weights you already have.
Cons:
The black paint comes of kind of easily. Sometimes the knobs loosen, it just takes a sec to re-tighten and can be a sort of inconvenience. Changing weights can also take some time. 40 pounds is advertised but I got less. May require extra weights.
Synopsis:
This is great for people who are starting out or want these type of weights. The value exceeds what your going to pay here at Amazon. I recommend this item over the expensive name brands.
