The weights are great for someone that has med to large hands. I have small hands and have a difficult time holding my fingers around them, in some of the excercise. The bands do help, but if they were skinny around the center of the weights it would be a lot easier to hold onto.

I searched and searched for a set of “soft” 5-pound weights. These were the only ones I found at the time that fit that description. They are adequate, but my biggest complaint is the diameter is really too big for my hands which makes them hard to hold onto. For a man with large hands these would be better. That said, I’m still glad that I got these because they were better than the alternatives.

this is a really comfortable and great product. I always hated holding onto cold dumbells with fat ends on each side. I use these when i work out and also when im just lying down watching tv or something since I dont have to worry about it possibly hitting me on my head or my feet or wherever if they happen to slip. I love them, i wish theyd come in heavier sizes tho.
