This is a great machine. Solid quality. Easy to put together. Screen is easy to see. It offers 6 pre-set programs. Program one is a good 20 minute work out. I’m a 45 y/o male in decent shape. I think this machine would be suitable for anyone. Manual setting allows max flexibility to your specific conditioning. My wife tried the machine as well and thought it offers a great total workout. This is a great lifetime investment in yourself!

First, this is a very compact rowing machine. The design and looks are great. The machine is quieter than the concept 2 or lifecore, important if you like to listen to music or watch tv.
What needs improvement:
1) the wheels are too small, it’s a hassle to move it around
2) the computer failed after 2seconds. Kettler was quick to offer to send a technician.
3) the power supply for the computer is poorly positioned and bound to fail
4) the rowing seat is far less of a smooth ride than the life core or the concept 2.
At $1400, you would expect the above to be improved in future designs. Once they make those improvements, I’ll order one as I like the compact size, the overall quality and the quiet operation.

The Ergo Coach LS rower is quite different than the similar Coach LS rower. They have completely different resistance systems. The Ergo Coach LS has built-in programs and it also has heart-rate-control programming and a more informative computer display. Both units debuted in late 2007. Users can perform many other exercises in addition to rowing. The smooth magnetic resistance is adjustable to provide a wide range of settings so everyone can enjoy their ideal amount of exertion. The 3 year warranty coverage shows it was built to last. Its a Top Quality Rower!

This machine is the regular “Coach” model….will breakdown within 12 months of use…not for the “serious” athlete…more value in a $300 similar piece of equipment…don’t waste your money…caveat emptor….
